Orcs and Gobs, and more

Back to 1/72. Do you remember the goblin I have painted a few days ago ? Now he's got a fellow, and some orc friends - a good occasion to gather the whole tribe, including a warg rider and a troll (painted earlier this year).

For some reason, I've had trouble taking proper pictures (probably the lack of light, the weather is horrible today), so not my best, sorry.

I hope you like them anyway :)

    Nice. The goblins. They look very much like the ones in the Hobbit PC game (which is well worth getting and playing..no nasty violence)

      Thank you Paul. I don't know this game (I only play Civilization, and not beyond the 4th edition), but I will ask my children :)

    Fantastic work Phil. Do you use a wash to get the effects?

      Thank you Duc. No washes on the goblins, but a lot on the troll and the orcs. For the troll, you can find a short explanation here: https://philotepsfigures.blogspot.fr/2017/01/to-paint-troll.html.
      For the orcs, I use a red wash on the flesh before highlighting, and a brown and a black wash on the armors.

    Hi Phil nice to see your new productions again in the painting battlefield :)
    Nice work on these orcs; i I like the color, (mine are a little more greenish.. I will post pics someday)
    Go on with the horde, those guys are not enough for conquering all Middle earth

    Hi Sceavus, nice to read from you, I really would like to see your version of orcs. My horde is not big enough ? Maybe 5 or 6 more orcs ? :D

      Thank you. Well, my daughter would like to recreate the siege of Minas Tirith in the living-room, I guess I have a couple of orcs more to paint, maybe an oliphant or two :)
      I think it is worth a post one of these days.
