An army of demons for Saga: Age of Magic - part I

 Hi everyone!

My son and I recently played our first Saga: Age of Magic battle, and it was a good start, in spite the fact that it was a terrible defeat for my Dwarves! We enjoyed the rules a lot: the game was dynamic, the rules were easy to remember, I even thought of taking pictures for the battle report! So this article was intended to talk about the battle, but my pictures have revealed horrible - I will have to take new pictures of a reconstitution - I promise I won't cheat and make my Dwarves victorious :)

 Nevertheless, the Saga AOM virus is here, and we've been thinking of new armies, if possible with figures we already have.Looking at my painted figures, I realized that I could create armies for most factions (mostly Great Kingdoms and Horde), but not for the Otherworld.

So I had to search my pile of shame opportunities, and found enough figures to create an army of Demons.

 I was excited at the thought of painting a Rackham Succubus, even if this figure isn't my favourite by far. The idea was to paint a very pale, white flesh.

Here you are the Succubus, together with a Northstar Demon, in a dark landscape:

The Succubus gave me the opportunity to paint a sword of flames - not easy, but I am rather happy with the result.

The dark bases with rocks ans lava was also something new to me - I intend to base the whole army that way. The Succubus is on an original Rackham base, whereas the Northstar figure was glued to a MDF base. Not too disturbing in my opinion

A closer look at the Northstar figure: I need 12 horned demons, they will all receive a black armor, but the skin will vary - as shown on the box of this set.

 

Work in progress: the red skin of the third demon should slightly differ from the previous one.
