Sometimes I paint Napoleonics

Not much to say this time. A few more men for my Napoleonic Middle Guard unit, together with the musicians painted last year. In this scene, they are walking through a small village, somewhere in Europe.

We can also see a Cuirassier riding in front of them.

Middle Guard by Hät, Musicians and Cuirassier by Strelets.

  2. It was this sort of sight that brought me back into the hobby of my youth many a year before. The only information right or wrongly was upon the box art or within grand old books down the Library.
Very smart and highly detailed painting style! BB

How do get that off-white tone?

    1. Thanks. I use GW Deneb Stone instead of white, wash with Agrax Earthshade (dark brown) then highlight with Deneb Stone, then Deneb Stone + white.

  5. Excellent grenadiers! I prefer the sculpting on the HaT figures over Strelets. How about you?

    1. I mostly do :) but I must admit that Strelets' style is perfect for Cuirassiers.

    1. I hope so! I have a huge army painted 25 years ago, not the same painting quality, but all of them are ready for action :)
